Sohail Inayatullah, a political scientist and futurist, is the inaugural UNESCO Chair in Futures Studies. He is also Professor at  Tamkang University, Taiwan and Associate, Melbourne Business School, the University of Melbourne. He teaches from Earlier, he was Adjunct Professor at the Center for Policing, Counter-Terrorism, and Intelligence at Macquarie University.

His most recent book is Asia 2038 (in English, Mandarin, and Korean).

He is currently working with the Government of Egypt (national manufacaturing strategy), the Government of Abu Dhabi (national tourism strategy), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission of Asia and the Pacific (Regional climate change strategy), Interpol,  Edmund Rice Education Australia, Powerlink, the Phillippines Senate (national futures thinking and scenarios), the National Disabiltiies Services, Brisbane Grammar School, and Walter and Eliza Hall Institute for Medical Research.
