Lincoln Mali is an experienced Retail Banker with over 18 years in the banking industry. He is currently the Standard Bank’s Group Head of Card and Emerging Payments across Africa in Personal and Business Banking.  His previous role has been the Regional Head for the Western Region, managing Personal and Business Banking Standard Bank franchises in Angola, DRC, Ghana, Nigeria and Namibia.

In a career spanning over 15 years at the Standard Bank, Lincoln’s previous roles include; Head: Customer Channels (PBB SA), Head: Gauteng Province, Head: Mass Market Banking PBB SA and Regional Head: Central Africa, responsible for Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe.

Lincoln’s academic qualifications include; BA LLB (Rhodes university); MBA (Henley Management College – UK) and an AMP (Harvard Business School).

Lincoln’s expertise is in the areas of leadership, people management, customer service, sales management and business performance. He has led and managed large and diverse teams across different geographies and business units. Lincoln is a highly regarded speaker who has addressed various local and international conferences. Lincoln was the class speaker at his graduation at Harvard Business School in 2013. He was honoured for his leadership role and achievements by his alma mater, Rhodes University, with the Distinguished Old Rhodian Award in 2015.

Lincoln was a keen sportsman at school and university and continues to support sports development by initiating and sponsoring a school rugby tournament in Port Elizabeth for township schools and a cricket tournament in Fort Beaufort for rural cricket clubs. Lincoln also supports all the schools he studied at by providing annual financial support.

Lincoln is married to Sva, they have 3 children, Lihle, Amara and Liam.
